A 925 sterling silver necklace carrying a very special designed key shaped pendant dangling from the middle combined with 2 charms from the sides written the word ‘happiness’ on them in Arabic calligraphy inlaid with a white and a grey pearl.
Hence Arabic calligraphy is the artistic practice of handwriting and calligraphy. It is therefore based upon the alphabet in the lands sharing either a common Islamic or cultural heritage. Consequently it includes Arabic, Ottoman, and Persian calligraphy. They call the Islamic writing khatt Islami in Arabic, which means either Islamic line, or design, and construction. The development of Islamic calligraphy is also especially relevant to the Quraan.

Three great calligraphers from Baghdad founded the Islamic calligraphy; the Vizier Ibn Muqla (886–940) of the Abbasid court, Ibn al-Bawwab, and Yakut al-Musta’simi of Amasya (d. 1298).
